If any part of your body epitomizes femininity, it's the uterus. The womb. One of the strongest muscles in your body, second only to the heart. Instead of pumping blood, however, the uterus is designed to pump out a baby.Despite its awesome nature, it is easy to take your uterus for granted. You probably don't give it a second thought, unless you are pregnant or menstruating or, perhaps, nearing menopause. But for some women who suffer with debilitating menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding related to fibroid tumores, the uterus cannot be ignored.
Maintaining or improving the health of your uterus is no different from maintaining or improving the health of your skin, muscles, heart or any other organ. You must educate yourself, become aware of their uterus by learning as much as you can about it.

In some women, uterine fibroids may cause heavy bleeding, pelvic discomfort and pain. Fibroid tumors and also create pressure on other organs. These symptoms may require treatment, but not always a hysterectomy. Fibroids can range from pea sized to the size of a cantaloupe. Many fibroid tumors tend to remain within the confines of the uterine tissue. However, as they grow larger, they can extend their range and put pressure on neighboring organs and tissues. Although most fibroids remain small, their growth can be predictable based upon diet and psychology of the woman. Some grow slowly, while others may grow very quickly. Significant growth of the fibroids usually causes the entire uterus to enlarge.
